Today was our first day at Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie, Florida for the annual Rick Springfield fan getaway. This was our first "real" vacation ever and it was to celebrate our 25th anniversary in February 2014. We had originally planned to vacation in February and then this came up and we booked it rather impulsively. I then spent the next few months regretting that we had booked this trip instead of doing a more traditional anniversary-type vacation in February. From the minute we arrived, though, there were no regrets. It was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. I would recommend it to anyone, and would gladly do it over again if given the opportunity.

There was a "Welcome Concert" at 8PM which was followed by the "Welcome Cocktail Party" - here you can see the bar set up by the pool and the concert stage in the background.
