~Day 59~ Storm

...is her middle name and even she seems to be tired of them. Yes, we are having another one today. And, yes, I have to shoot up at her now when she's on the snowbank - they are THAT high! Pretty soon she'll be able to jump on the roof, especially if March is anything like January and February were.

~Day 58~ Inundated

It's not very interesting, but this is what we have to look at day in and day out, with seemingly no end in sight.

~Day 57~ Firstborns

I think Justin is like me - he doesn't like to have his photo taken. But every once in awhile I get one of him.

And here's a shot of my most prized MATERIAL possession. This photo was taken with my very first DSLR, the Canon EOS 20D, which I am getting ready to list. I first wanted to make sure it was still in perfect working order, so I used it today to take some test shots. And from this shot, it looks to me like it can still get the job done. I have amassed a lot of gear over the years and I just don't use all of it anymore. So, I guess it's time to learn how to sell stuff on ebay, instead of just buying. LOL!

~Day 56~ FedEx

I <3 the FedEx guy for bringing our gallery wrap canvas today! I <3 these things, too! The great texture and the way the photo wraps around the edges - just makes them so delicious! I never thought I would have (or even want to have) one in my house that had a picture of me on it. But I just love this photo, because it's me and my love - I <3 him, too! It was such a magical day and this photo just keeps bringing me back there.

~Day 55~ Doldrums

Is this the sequel to drums?

So, today was totally uneventful, but at least tomorrow's Friday.

~Day 54~ Drums

Hanging with Tyson, my little drummer boy.

~Day 53~ Popcorn

Movie theatre popcorn. It's kinda gross, but apparently you just HAVE to have it. At least that's what Darrin says. He won't go to the movies without getting it. So, of course, I have to eat some because it's there. But I'd be just as happy without it.

So, we went to see "Just Go With It" and I was really surprised. It was much better than I expected. It wasn't really something that we planned on going to see. It's just something we ended up going to see so we could get out of the house. But it was really funny. And that's my movie review.

~Day 52~ Gadgets

What did we ever do before these things?

~Day 51~ White

It seems as though we are surrounded by white - can't wait to see green again!

~Day 50~ Tyson's Choice

...for movie night.

And a bird's eye view of the dog.

~Day 49~ Billiards

Today was the last day of our winter carnival activities at work. Our last activity to end the week was an evening out to play pool, cards, and Wii games. Had a blast hanging out with the gals from work, playing pool (although I learned that I suck at it), and laughing the night away! Can't wait for next year!

~Day 48~ Basketball

Just another basketball shot, today.

~Day 47~ Bingo

It's winter carnival week at work, so we played Bingo today. Nope, I didn't win, but it was a nice diversion from the drudgery of work.

~Day 46~ Flag

Happy Flag Day! Today, is National Flag Day in Canada, so there was a little ceremony at work and a quiz to help us learn a little more about the history of our flag. Our current flag was designed by George Stanley and was proclaimed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to take effect on February 15, 1965; thus we are celebrating the 46th anniversary of our flag. King George V appointed the official colours of Canada in 1921. Thanks to Sandra, who was one of the quiz winners, for the flag. She thought I should have it for my photography project.

And here are a few of the boys playing basketball. Yes, apparently you CAN still play basketball with eight feet of snow on the ground!

~Day 44~ Refueling

It would be nice if weekends could be for rest, relaxation, and refueling like they should be. But in all practicality, all the stuff that there just isn't time for during the week gets put off till the weekend. Then there is just no time for anything other than catching up on errands, chores, and projects. Just once it would be nice to catch up on sleep, reading, movies, and fun stuff.

~Day 43~ Thanks For Noticing Me!

Poor, poor Eeyore; relegated to the bargain bin at our local Value Village. When he looked at me with those sad, sad eyes, I just had to bring him home. He's just too cute to resist, especially at the low. low price of 2/$0.99.

~Day 42~ "Christmas" Cactus

I think our office "Christmas" cactus is really a Valentine's cactus.

Anniversary ~ Part Deux

A few more from the anniversary shoot.

~Day 41~ Anniversary

Today is our anniversary. So for lunch we went to St. Hubert's - my favourite - and I had the same thing I always have; the chicken fillet wrap with vanilla cake for dessert. Then we went to the park for a photo shoot. I had so much fun, but Darrin was frozen. He should have worn his boots instead of sneakers - if your feet get cold, it's hard to keep warm. This evening we went to see "Black Swan" at the theatre. It was very difficult to tell what was real and what wasn't in that film, but Natalie Portman gave an amazing performance and I'm sure she will win awards for that one. Here's a shot from this afternoon, but there are several more that I also like, so I will probably post a few more this weekend!

~Day 40~ Mmmmmm...

Darrin bought me chocolates today. He's too kind (and so bad!) So much for tonight's aquacise. On the other hand, it would have been worse if I hadn't gone and still ate chocolate.

It really was too cold to go tonight, but I went anyway. Usually after a few minutes of exercising you get warmed up. Not tonight. We froze the whole hour.

~Day 39~ Snowy Tree

After I finished watching "The Last Song" on the movies on demand channel, I went outside to shovel out the driveway for Darrin so he could get to work. I had only been at it for about twenty minutes or so, when Dad showed up with his snowblower. Yay - thanks, Dad! So I took advantage of that time saved and got some shots of the snow while it was still stuck on the tree branches. It looked pretty cool and I love that I got a bit of flare from the streetlight.

~Day 38~ I Got Nothin'

Mondays are so rough. Today was filled with work, errands, dishes, and laundry. And all that on three hours' sleep!

~Day 37~ Reward

After many grueling hours of shovelling, we have dug ourselves out, yet again. After that, we went out to eat for a hard-earned reward.

~Day 36~ Tunnels

Some of the sidewalks in our city are plowed, but the snowbanks on either side are so high that it's like walking through a tunnel. It's a bit claustrophobic.

Dylan had fun jumping off the deck.

Stuck in the snow.
