Loving the aesthetic of these vintage style, industrial-look lights.
Welcome to my blog! I started a Project 365 in 2011, and though I didn't finish due to a shoulder injury, I had still been shooting and posting on a regular basis until about April of 2016. After a four year hiatus, I have recently started getting back to it, so we'll see if this trend continues. Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave me comments - I appreciate each and every one of them!

~ July 18, 2020 ~ Glow
Added some sheer curtains to our wall of lights for a glowy effect. (I'll get a curtain rod or something to better hang them at some point.)
PS - Happy 31st birthday to our eldest son today. We had him over for takeout and birthday cake, then movie night with the fam! (Bummed that I forgot to take photos 🙄)

~ July 17, 2020 ~ Progress
Attached the headboard to the bed, added the cage bottoms to the sconces, and hung some string lights behind it.

After one coat of Varathane in Linen White, it took on a weathered grey effect. Though it looked very nice like that also, I kept adding coats of white until it became light enough for our room. Then I added a couple of industrial looking light fixtures. I used a spade bit to drill a hole for the wiring to achieve a cleaner look. Once that was finished, I just needed to drill holes in the supports in order to attach it to the bed.

~ July 16, 2020 ~ Headboard
I love how one coat of Varathane in Espresso brings out the grain in the wood. It's almost painful to go any further, but our bedroom walls are black, so I think a light coloured headboard is called for.

~ July 15, 2020 ~ Headboard
We recently upgraded our queen size bed to king and thus needed a new headboard. So I decided to make an attempt to build one to my exact specifications. It didn't turn out exactly how I had envisioned, but I am nonetheless quite pleased with it. This is the first day's progress.
