~ November 16, 2013 ~ 80's Party

The 80's party was such a blast - my fave day of the trip!

We started the day off with a photo and autograph session with the celebrities! (We are missing Eric - I don't know what happened because we did have a photo taken with him, but it was not on the camera once it was returned to us. Not sure if one of the "photographers" hit the delete button accidentally or took it with another guest's camera by mistake.)

In the afternoon, we moved to the theater for a reading of "Magnificent Vibrations"; Rick's debut novel that is to be released in May 2014.

There was also an afternoon river cruise for those fortunate enough to secure spots for that - it was an add-on event that sold out quickly.

Hangin' with some great new friends.

Uninvited dinner guest. I was not even aware that there were raccoons in Florida!

All geared up for the 80's party to begin at 11pm.

Our friend "Michael Jackson" was in attendance.

Partying with his new bud, "Tom Cruise". (Yes, he was in his tighty whities and socks, just like in Risky Business.)

Dancing on the ceiling (alright, I'd had a few by this point and was shooting upside down - but hey, it suits the theme.)

~ November 15, 2013 ~ Vacation in Florida

Today, was jam-packed with fun! Just got to breakfast in time - restaurant was closing for breakfast at 10am.

At 2pm, Rick was scheduled to interview Mark Goodman about his book: "VJ: The Unplugged Adventures of MTV's First Wave."

At 3:30pm, we were treated to a preview of Rick's new "Stripped Down" solo tour.

At 8:15pm, there was a beach luau.

After the luau, we headed to the theater for 10:30pm to see "Rick's Fans Got Talent" - a talent show hosted by Mark Goodman and judged by Rick, Doug Davidson (Paul Williams from The Young and the Restless), and Eric Martsolf (Brady Black from Days of Our Lives.)

This shot was from the luau.

Shake it... shake it... shake it like a Poloroid picture.

Hanging out.

Afternoon interview in the theater.

Rick loved the gigantic chairs.

Darrin with Rick's wife, Barbara.

Stripped Down.

Rick and his "hydration assistant."

Dougie has the greatest laugh - he laughs with his whole self. And he's hilarious - I don't know how he can possibly play a serious role. I guess that's a testament to what a great actor he really is.

Time for a luau!

Talent show.
