~Day 85~ Marshmallows

... and a big, steaming cup of hot chocolate on a frosty cold winter, err spring night.

~Day 84~ Home Sweet Home

I came very close to not getting a photo, today. I was all snuggled in bed, playing with one of my gadgets (as I always do at bedtime), just about ready to put it down and go to sleep, when it came to me. I had not taken any photos today. NOT. EVEN. ONE. So, I checked the time - ACK! 11:55PM! Well, that certainly doesn't leave much time now does it. So I popped out of bed, grabbed my camera, and snapped the first thing that I saw. So, not a very interesting photo, but at least I haven't missed a day...

...yet! (It's bound to happen at some point, but I will do my best to see that it doesn't.)

~Day 83~ Lotto

Today is my turn to buy the tickets for our office pool. Sure hope I got the "right" ones!

~Day 82~ Hypnotic

I picked up this pineapple because it is just so wicked cool-looking. Well, I do love pineapple, but something tells me getting into it might prove troublesome.

~Day 81~ Ketchup Lovers Rejoice

Finally...

... a packet of ketchup that is worth the trouble it takes to open them. See, I like a little fries with my ketchup, and the packets that I'm accustomed to receiving only have about four-five fries worth of ketchup in them. Well, imagine my delight at being given not one, but two, jumbo size, 26ml packets of ketchup with supper tonight. Way to go, A&W!

~Day 80~ Kicks

Pretty sad when the most exciting thing to happen today is getting some new shoes!

~Day 79~ Vintage

Out with the old and in with the...

...older!?!

Wow, what a whirlwind this weekend was. Did lots of wheelin' and dealin' - ended up one camera and lens lighter, but scored a long coveted vintage Kodak Brownie camera. I so looooove vintagey things, and of course, you know I have just a little bit of a thing for camera equipment. So how much do you think I salivate over vintage cameras!?! Well, I think this is just the coolest thing and now I just want to add to the collection.

Also, I had to work today counting inventory at the farm store (saw a newly hatched baby chick - it was so tiny and cute), get Tyson back to Sackville, stop on the way back to pick up my vintage camera out past the airport, stop to pick up supper (definitely no time to cook today, lucky if there's time to eat), go to Aquacise, walk the dog after that, and get home in time to check on my auction. After it ended and the item sold, I started packing up the 20D (after photographing it of course) so I can get it shipped out tomorrow. I am so ready for a day off, only six more days. LOL!

~Day 78~ 9

I don't know if anyone has seen that movie, but it was our "movie night" movie again. See, Tyson hadn't seen it so we had to watch it again with him, even though we had just watched it a couple of weeks ago. So, anyway, my little spice cups look just like "9's" eyes. Or maybe it was 2, or 6, or... Well, they all have eyes that kinda look like that. Except maybe 1. Or was it 7 - I dunno, after awhile you kinda lose track. LOL!

~Day 77~ Blah

Had to take a few double doses of these today. It felt like my head would implode and made it very difficult to function or concentrate, let alone be productive. Monday will probably uncover the loads of mistakes made at work today. Oh, well, I'll just fix them and move on.

~Day 76~ Shamrock Shades

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone! Isn't green great!?!

I'm not sure which one I like best for my photo of the day, so I'm postin' all of 'em. Think of it at your St. Patrick's day present!

~Day 75~ Skype

What a pleasure to be able to "see" Tyson and chat with him, even when he is away from home.

~Day 74~ What A Deal!

I thought I would be doing a grave disservice if I didn't let everyone know that they could get a whole 2% off new mattresses at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Be sure to mark it in your calendars folks, it's next Friday and Saturday only. It's hard to pass up a deal like that - those just don't come along every day.

~Day 73~ Cruisin'

...down Mountain Road - had to run some errands after work. Mostly Justin's errands - he needed a bus pass to get back and forth to school and he "needed" a new video game.

~Day 72~ Jump

It's great that Dylan is now able to get back to shooting hoops - there's just enough driveway available to play. The ball still lands in a snowbank after the shot, but he's pretty good at climbing them to retrieve it. Even when it goes over the gate into the backyard - he just stands on the snowbank and hops the fence.

~Day 71~ Sing

She often sings for her supper, but this time she was singing to go outside. What a weirdo!

~Day 70~ Spudman

Bring on spring!

~Day 69~ Sell, sell, sell

Tonight I made my very first ebay listing.

And then I cried.

Because this is my very first DSLR camera, the Canon EOS 20D, and it's like a part of me. We've been together since 2005 and it's just hard letting go. I don't even use it anymore. In terms of photographic equipment it's probably considered a dinosaur, and some people might think that I have one or two too many cameras. But it is still beautiful and in such perfect condition. And it still takes amazing photos. Well, anyway, now that I am "de-cluttering", I thought I should learn how to sell on ebay (since I've been pretty proficient at the buying part of it for several years. LOL!)

(On a side note, the fees to sell on ebay are kinda crazy. You've got your listing fees, insertion fees, fees for extra photos, reserve price fees, buy it now fees, final value fees, Paypal fees, and the list goes on seemingly endlessly. I think after this I might just stick with Kijiji. And who knows, maybe it won't even sell.)

I guess I should probably put the link here in case anyone wants to buy it and put me out of my misery! LOL! (I'm sure you're all chomping at the bit after the part about dinosaurs. But seriously, it's a beautiful piece of machinery - just put some nice glass on it!)

~Day 68~ Yummy

We had a special treat tonight - strawberry shortcake!

~Day 67~ Purge

We spent much of the day today cleaning out Dylan's room and we had three big bags and two boxes of stuff - mostly clothes, toys, and stuffed animals - to put in the Salvation Army donation bin. One of the boxes was full of old stuffies, which the dog kept trying to steal. So we gave her one to play with and she proceeded to tear the poor thing's leg off and eat it. Doesn't she look proud of herself? In the background you can see a couple of bags that are ready to go out the door. Sure feels good to release some of the clutter and, at the same time, hope that someone else can put it to good use. Now to find time to do the rest of the house.

~Day 66~ Books

Here's just a small bit of our book collection. I love to read and I absolutely have to read before I go to sleep every night - but now that I'm used to reading books with my Kobo app, I find it hard to read a physical book in bed. They are just so big and heavy and awkward to hold.

Also, it was my sister's birthday today, so I hope you had a great one! We stopped over to offer birthday wishes and drop off a small gift just before heading out to the movies. We went to see "Hall Pass" - it was not really as funny as one might have expected, but good for a couple laughs.

~Day 65~ Nighty-Night

Today, I didn't really have any time to take photos.

This morning we had to uninstall the old thermostat (which seemed to be the root of the ongoing heating problems we've had for two years) and install a new one. (It took far longer than it should have, and on top of that, we now have to reset every clock in the house.) Hopefully, that will fix the problem, but it's quite mild today - everything is melting - so it will be difficult to tell until we have some very cold temperatures again (hopefully not till next year.)

This afternoon, we had to go pick up Justin's new bed and frame, transport it home, carry it into the house, disassemble his old bed and put it outside, put together and set up his new one. It's nice to see that he now has a proper bed that is big enough for him - at 21, he was still sleeping in the bottom half of the bunk beds we got for him and Tyson when he was probably about five. (Tyson is still sleeping in the top half when he's at home.) It was so badly bowed straight down the middle, that I don't know how he ever kept from rolling out of bed. (Maybe I should have photographed that, but it's out in the snow now and it's dark out.) I thought I should have a photo of him in his new bed, but he was unwilling to oblige me. So here's what ya get!

~Day 64~ Red

Time for a bit of colour!

Thanks, hon, for the beautiful rose - it was an nice unexpected surprise! And here's a bit more red for today.

~Day 63~ Absent

Remember the back gate on ~Day 34~? I thought we had a lot of snow then, but apparently it was nothing compared with what was to come.

It was even still somewhat visible on ~Day 48~. But now it's vanished, disappeared, completely gone without a trace. I look forward to someday seeing it again.

~Day 62~ Morning Light

The light in the morning, just before I go to work, is so beautiful. I just must learn to capture it better. Here's a shot that doesn't quite do it justice, but I will keep practicing.

~Day 61~ Bedtime

Went to work, today. Went to aquacise, tonight. Then I was just sooooo tired, I just wanted to go to bed. So I photographed my bedside lamp (a Christmas gift from my three wonderful boys a few years back) and did just that.

~Day 60~ Spring!?!

At least that's what Darrin is thinking, now that March is here. I can't believe he was wearing this today after I got home from work. I sure can't blame his wishful thinking, though. Especially after the tough winter we've had.
